They will never change. Dont forget that the summer budget included all the player sales they did plus we had been starved of cash.

Glad to hear the club is putting everyone on notice that they are not gonna be splashing huge sums of money again. Wouldn’t want the other clubs to think we have money to burn.

if that's the case it's fucking shit, we moved to the horror stadium to go to the next stage and £25mbudgets is not going to do it,in fact itwon't even keep us on a par with teams like leicester and wolves

Re: Appearantly the transfer budget in the summer will be 25 million plus whatever we can get from sales
Have a think about it?

Yes 25 mill sounds piss poor but . . .

if we sell:

Masuaku 7 mill
Obiang 10 mill
Hernandez 12 mill
Perez 7 mill
Arnie 35 mill

Thats 96 mill to spend on 3/4 players, same amount as this Summer

Gomez - 40 mill
Leftback - 20 mill
Powerful DM - 30 mill
decent striker on a free, older player like Dzeko or Benzama give him 6 mill in wages

If we don't sell Arnie, they won't need to buy Gomez

Offload Carroll as well to free up wages

Re: Appearantly the transfer budget in the summer will be 25 million plus whatever we can get from sales
The club or their mouthpiece can say what they like, we are being done over again.

C&H more than likely have been told to print we have 25m, just to get us use to the idea.

Why as some say that the likes of Palace, Southampton, Leicester, Wolves’, Bournemouth, Everton etc can either spend more than us or have larger wage bills.

None of it adds up

If this 25m is true then this will be my last season, Sullivan once said he will not use the club as a bank, yea right.

Also don’t a few of our sponsorship deals run out this year, (shirts) that will surely mean more money for the club.

Re: Appearantly the transfer budget in the summer will be 25 million plus whatever we can get from sales
The clubs mouthpiece C&H have been spinning out how all premier league clubs are expected to pay their own way without injections of cash from the owners.

That maybe so for the top six who have been mainly the top six for many years and are self sustaining in that they always generate income from European football and the worldwide recognition and income that generates. They are in a different league.

West Ham have to be AMBITIOUS to get into that top six and the ONLY way is INVESTMENT made wisely.

IF the two Bob merchants running our club don't want to INVEST what's their purpose?

I will tell you, there has always been one purpose for them and that is to keep the club up in the premier league and receive the TV money £120+m per annum and build the clubs wealth to flip it in a few more years at a massive profit with zero investment.

Their exit strategy will be to try and buy the London stadium from the government on the cheap in another 5 years when the funding runs out and then flip it.

Not entirely the case with Bournemouth- lots of bent Russian money behind them
Examine their spend closer

25m That will just about cover the cost of a back up Keeper and Back Up Right Back if Zab and Adrian Leave.

Mario Husillos

Fredericks and Wilshere had already been lined up before he arrived. Perez we were linked with before he joined Arsenal...so don't think all the signings were on his watch.

This summer will be interesting

Wasn’t one of the back room staff, Pelegrini brought in, supposed to be a specialist at identifying players?

Re: Appearantly the transfer budget in the summer will be 25 million plus whatever we can get from sales
Noting the feea that Diop's replacements we're bought for is completely meaningless, are they as good? I've no idea, never seen them play, much like Alex V

Rio Ferdinand was sold for £15m and his replacement Rigobert Song was bought for about £4m

Should Leeds have bought Song instead?

Re: Appearantly the transfer budget in the summer will be 25 million plus whatever we can get from sales
I’ll reserve judgement until after the summer window and after seeing how much we actually spend. I see us like Bournemouth with a big stadium. The difference is Bournemouth probably spend every last penny they can afford to on improving their squad, and do so wisely.

They sold our heritage on a lie and have got away with it, they keep espousing we're a "Big Club" but we're not, we're small time, always have been & probably always will be
